Joni Mitchell SonglistMitchell, Joni.  MANUSCRIPT TRACK LIST OF ALL TWENTY-TWO SONG TITLES USED TO PREPARE HER 2002 ‘TRAVELOGUE’ DOUBLE ALBUM. One page, 7” by 3” on yellow lined paper (n.p., n.d. but August 2002) boldly handwritten in black ink by Joni Mitchell and acquired directly from her longstanding Grammy-winning art director Robbie Cavolina.  Joni is one of the foremost singer-songwriters of the late 20th Century.  She’s had a vast influence on musicians spanning a variety of genres including folk, pop, jazz, rock, classical and avant-garde. Truly a renaissance talent, Joni is also a renowned painter.  This manuscript comes with a pair of 4” by 6” unpublished candid photographs taken by Cavolina at Joni’s garden atrium/studio; they capture her surrounded by canvases and working on one of the actual TRAVELOGUE paintings, the image of which is featured as part of the CD’s attractive insert material.  Beautifully framed (24” by 36”) with the photographs as well as Cavolina’s  “proof” copy of the CD packaging which features this song list almost as printed (a few of the songs were shuffled at the last minute by Joni but the order is essentially the same).  Apart from a manuscript notebook of early Joni Mitchell lyrics sold in 1970 to benefit charity, we can’t trace any other manuscript of hers at any public sale.  Even if Joni handwritten material weren’t so astonishingly hard-to-find in the marketplace, this particular manuscript would still stand out in its importance.  ‘TRAVELOGUE,’ her 2002 double album, was designed to be Joni’s last issued work…a compilation of hand-picked songs chosen to represent the arc of her career.  “Woodstock" "For the Roses" "Trouble Child" "God Must Be a Boogie Man" "Sex Kills” "Refuge of the Roads” "Hejira" "Just Like This Train" "The Last Time I Saw Richard" "Amelia" "The Circle Game.”  Where else might you find all these titles in her hand (and another eleven more) on the same manuscript?  All in Fine condition.    SOLD
